You'd probably like what a friend did with his answering machine message. It ended with "If you'd like to press one, please press one". He got some priceless flustered messages. It seemed to short circuit a lot of people.

That "veuillez appuyer" really cracked me up. This joke has a Monty Python feel to it. Highlighting the absurdity of all sorts of protocols, and their monstrosity at the same time.
